An Evening with Canada Reads 2014 Winning Author Joseph Boyden

As you may recall, in our December newsletter before the holidays, we announced an exciting upcoming event involving a visit to Oakville by Award Winning Canadian author, Joseph Boyden.  The details of this event(s) are outlined here.  We are proud to be taking a leadership position in presenting outstanding speakers involved in important national dialogues that affect Canadians.  I can assure you there is no person more central to the conversation of Canada’s First Nation history and current events than Joseph Boyden.  He is a powerful writer with an important message and his presentation style is engaging, informative and thought provoking.

If you haven’t read “The Orenda” or his other award winning novels, “Through Black Spruce” and “Three Day Road”, you should add them to your reading list.   Please join us for this wonderful opportunity to meet one of Canada’s most important writers.  We are very pleased to co-sponsor this event with Appleby College and hope you will be able to participate.  If you have any questions regarding the lecture or dinner evening, please do not hesitate to contact me in the office.
