Positive Affirmations – Mental Health Awareness

Our Dearcroft Montessori students are very resilient and always seem to keep a positive outlook. With the switch to online learning and the uncertainty that is happening right now, we know how hard it can be for students to adjust.

Our mental health is just as important as our physical health.  Connecting with nature is one way to help stay healthy mentally and physically. Research shows that walking in nature can boost your immunity and uplift your spirits. Getting outside is very important for both mental and physical health.  Here are some positive nature affirmations to think about on your next MYndful walk.

Elementary and Junior High students will move to online learning April 20th

The Premier announced today that all Ontario Elementary schools, our Elementary and Junior High levels, are to move to on-line learning for at least two weeks after the Spring Break.

Elementary and Junior High teachers will be preparing for the move to on-line learning on Monday, April 19th and therefore there will be no classes on this day for these levels.  Teachers will prepare student packages (including instruments) for pick-up on Monday, April 19th from 2:30 p.m. onwards and virtual classes will begin on Tuesday, April 20th.

 

Welcome back Toddler and Casa students

The Premier announced today that all Ontario Elementary schools, our Elementary and Junior High levels, are to move to on-line learning for at least two weeks after the Spring Break.

Child care is to remain open and therefore, our Toddler and Casa levels will return in person as scheduled on Monday, April 19th.  Before and after care programs are to be closed for now.
